Foodmate is Founded
On the 1st of October 2006 David Hazenbroek follows his father’s footsteps by founding a company that develops and manufactures poultry processing equipment. By bringing together a team of industry experts it is Foodmate’s mission to innovate the market by bringing new intelligent equipment to the market.
First Cut-up System Delivered
Through hard work and dedication the Foodmate team is able to develop and install their first Cut-up System at a Customer in Belarus.
Foodmate Moves to Oud-Beijerland
The starting location is proven too small to develop all innovations of the R&D department and Foodmate makes the move to a new facility in Oud-Beijerland with more space for production, R&D and office personnel.
Foodmate US Founded
After multiple proven successes in the USA market, David’s brother Scott Hazenbroek starts Foodmate US. With the opening of a location in the USA, Foodmate is able to deliver quick and excellent service to one of the largest poultry industries in the world.
OPTI Thigh Deboner is Launched
Foodmate brings a revolutionary technology to the market with the OPTI Thigh Deboner, it is very well received in the market with over 70 installations in the first three years.
Fresh Look, New Logo
Foodmate adopts a new logo reflecting its fresh take on the poultry processing industry. The new design is an indication of more improvements to come as Foodmate grows in being an industry leader.
MAXIMA Breast Deboner is Launched
Foodmate introduces a new breast meat deboning solution to the market, the compact, sanitary and efficient designed MAXIMA.
OPTI LTD is Launched
Foodmate continues its revolution in whole leg deboning by introducing the OPTI LTD Whole Leg Deboner. A flexible combination of a Drum Deboner and a Thigh Deboner that allows not only whole leg deboning but also different leg product outcomes.
Foodmate Brasil is Founded
Foodmate continues its global reach by opening an office in another leading poultry industry, Brasil. The Brasilian office is managed by a team of local industry experts to serve the market with the experience it deserves.
MAX6000 is Launched
The Foodmate R&D department reveals another innovation, the MAX6000 Breast Deboner. To accommodate this development the R&D department had to move to another larger building across the street that was acquired for this project.
Foodmate Polska is Founded
A new sales and service hub is opened in Poland to support this large market with multiple installed Foodmate systems

ULTiMATE is Launched
Foodmate strengthened and again proves its position as market leader in dark meat deboning equipment manufacturer by introducing the revolutionary ULTiMATE to the market. By using X-Ray measurement technology this piece of equipment debones individual whole legs with a large size variation accurately and efficiently at an unmatched speed of 6000 legs per hour.
Foodmate moves to the new built headquarters
Foodmate has experienced an exponential growth, which ultimately resulted in the necessity to move again. “We could not find anything suitable to our needs within the existing buildings in the Hoeksche Waard area, but we did discover a good construction site in Numansdorp, and so the decision to build seemed a logical one.” stated David Hazenbroek, founder of Foodmate. “The fact that the site we selected was located next to where my father’s former company was located many years ago, was a nice touch and with that our decision was made”, added David.
ChickSort Acquisition
Foodmate acquires a controlling interest in “Computerway Business Solutions Ltd” the supplier of ChickSort, Poultry Weighing, Grading and Sorting systems. With this acquisition Foodmate strengthens its position as a global supplier of intelligent poultry processing systems.
OPTiX is Launched
With the launch of the OPTiX Thigh Deboner Foodmate expands its offering of deboning equipment with X-Ray technology. The Pioneers in intelligent deboning continue their journey of revolutionizing the poultry processing industry.

Duravant Acquires Foodmate
Duravant LLC (“Duravant”), a global engineered equipment and automation solutions provider to the food processing, packaging and material handling sectors, announced the completion of its acquisition of Foodmate, a leading manufacturer of poultry processing equipment headquartered in Numansdorp, the Netherlands.
